The Classic Delay emulates three of the most commonly used delays / echo sounds types: Tape, Analog, and Digital, but without the introduction of noise. A quality control is included where the sound of the echo machine can be adjusted to give the preferred amount of “imperfection”. The delay can be synchronised to the host, and the feedback can be reversed to give a ping-pong effect.
Tape-, Analog- and Digital Delay sound
Ultra low CPU usage
Supports sampling rates up to 96kHz
Full VST automation
A virtual tape delay, loosely modelled on the venerable Roland Space Echo. Does a fairly good job of emulating the tape saturation, unpredictability and wild self-oscillation of the real deal.
Features main echo and ’second-tapehead’ sub-echoes, as well as adjustable vintageness (tape hiss, motor inertia, tape and motor age).
Transverb is like a delay plugin, but it can play back the delay buffer at different speeds. Think of it like a tape loop with two independently-moving read heads. There are lots of parameters to control and a parameter randomizer for the impatient.
A tape like delay
A very simple tape delay effect for creating that specific tape delay sound.
- Accurate tape delay emulation
- Smooth tape-like delay time changes
- Up to 1 second delay
- High and low cut
- Add noise for self resonance
- Midi-CC and VST Automation support
It consist in a delay unit followed by a 2nd order lowpass filter with saturation. The delay-time can evolve between 0 and max-delay which lets you be very accurate. You can also synchronise the delay to the tempo with different resolutions from 1/128 to 1 bar and control the way the delay-time is interpolated with the kind of interpolation and the time-constant.
Aphex Twin-like bouncing ball delay.
The Delta Series is a plug-in toolkit containing five free plugins that encompass filtering, distortion, phasing, delays and spatialisation.
The Delta Series are available for Mac and Windows VST format. The Macintosh versions are Universal Binaries and require 10.4 or higher to run.
GDelay is a digital delay effect, with the option to feed the resulting signal back into the delay line.
pudding is a granular delay effect with detailed synchronization features and lots of randomization thrown in the mix. this can produce anything from a simple digital delay sound, to full on new synthesis from extremely small grains and sync rates. version 1.1 adds new presets, better cpu usage, more host compatibility, and overal performance gains.
Built for live performance - It features a tap tempo function which makes it easy to create echoes that fit the timing of a live band.
A simple tape delay -
This plug-in mimicks the tape delay in Logic Audio, and gives you separate control over the delay times on left and right channel. suitable for ping pong delays and drifting delays
Besides being a CPU hog this plug-in goes further than most real tape delay machines. It’s capable of stereo delays, ping pong delays, multitap delays and complex delay textures.
Multitap delay with panning and controllable morphing between settings.
Instead of controlling each echo separately, there’s a bunch of parametrized functions that you can use to generate various kinds of effects from weird reverb to bouncing delays to sonic textures.
Effectizer is a simple multi-effect plug-in that features six popular effects: WahWah, Overdrive, Tremolo, Modulation (Chorus/Flanger or Phaser), Stereo Delay (with ping-pong option) and Reverb.
- Six effects:
- Modulation (Chorus/Flanger or Phaser)
- Stereo Delay (with ping-pong option)
- Supports host tempo synchronization and automation.
- Room for 32 presets.
- Low CPU usage.
deeeeeLAY is a stereo delay machine with a delay time ranging up to 60 seconds. As well as its own feedback, each channel can feedback into the other channel to create complex panning delays. On top of this, a simple hp / lp filter is employed before the signal is fedback.
reqDELAY is a multi-band freak-out delay machine. The incoming stereo signal is processed through 4 bands of delay with seperate control over delay time, level, feedback, filter shape, frequency and resonance. Additional multiplier controls allow the relationships between bands to be preserved whilst changing e.g. all delay times from one knob. Finally, mix control selects how much dry and wet signal to output.
voldeLAY is a stereo volume dependent delay chain with 2 LFOs sidechain input, look-ahead, scalable delay time & threshhold crossfade time control, and capable of operating in series or parallel.
This is a delay whose output is compressed when there is a certain amount of signal present on its input. It allows to use a lot of delay on a voice without loosing too much intelligibility.
The FD STEREO is a filter delay with separate controls each stereo channel. The delayed sound is sent over a filter, that can be mixed between Lowpass and Bandpass to modify the sound. The step control is based upon the playing speed of the host.
• Step-controlled Delay (1-16)
• Feedback control
• Separate controls for each stereo channel
• Dry/Wet control
• Delayfilter cutoff and resonance
• Adjustable Lowpass/Bandpass mix
Multi-Effects Unit - 2 reverbs, 2 flangers, and a delay
This VST-plugin is an 6x delay, each with its own bandpass filter. Frequency of each band is adjustable, as is delaytime, feeback and volume. The filter bandwidth is controlled for all bands together.
The Mix button controls the ratio of dry and wet signal. The Direct switch adds the filtered but undelayed signal to the wet mix.
Retro SamplingTries to create the sound of an old tape delay, includes various effects.

Twisted LemonDo things with the FFT algorithm which it isn’t designed forThe delay. This works like any other allpass delay.1. Delay (maximum delay 4,64 seconds)2. Feedback (mix the output back into the input)Modulate the delaytime with freqency and amplitude settings3. Modulation freq4. Modulation amplitude5. FFT bin delayThe modulation which you set with knob 3 and 4 can be delayed per bin for every FFT. Starting with bin 0. With a maximum delay of 128 bins.6. Dry/wetMix beteween the original signal and the effect.Technical detailsThe delay is 32 bits interpolated per FFT (of 256 samples) and because of this it sounds very smooth.
Do you want to play your guitar or other picked instrument with a lot of echo, but not sound like you’re lost down a long hallway? thresholdDelay silences the delay from previous notes when a new note goes over the threshold volume.
Good for interesting effects, and no buildup of echoes that can sound ’swampy’
Stereo-Delay is a VST-plugIn for the creation of delay- and echo-effects. It provides two independent delay-lines for the left and the right channel. The delaylines have a feedback-loop with highpass- and lowpass-filter and can also interact via crossfeedback. The delay-times are not specified in seconds or milliseconds, but musically as a note-value.
GDuckDly is a digital delay that allows the wet signal to be compressed by the dry signal. This means that the delayed signal is attenuated whenever the input signal is loud enough. As a result, the delayed signal “ducks” under any incoming sounds, preventing the resulting signal from becoming overwhelmed by delay-line “mud”.
maelcum is a tape-like delay module. designed specifically to emulate the classic tape delays, maelcum has internal tape noise generation, with variable mix, and either tempo based or manually entered delay time. rub a dub dub.
mashup is a delay effect with an internal variable length step sequencer. it allows you to select from six delay types: 0.1, 1, or 10 second delays with or without interpolation. each step allows for specific time and feedback adjustements. you can also adjust the start, end, and sequencer modes. mashup can be hand set to create convoluted delay effects, or used to create very tight decimations. as always the patch randomizer is ready to toss some chaos into your tracks.
Metal Mickey is a sequenced, synced delay unit.
An 8 step sequencer drives the delay time. This is the matrix of red LEDs at the top. The delays are synced to host tempo. Changing the matrix values changes delay time for the given sequencer step.
A second sequencer, running at the same speed, controls the delay feedback. This is the row of 8 sliders underneath the Delay time matrix.
The sequencer has a number of features - random stepping, mulitplication and division of speed, adjustable slide (from one value to the next) and an adjustable loop point.
The higher delay times can be tuned using the Tuning slider.
The wet signal then passes through a multimode filter, a low pass filter and a high pass filter (this allows you to really shape the delay line).
This plug-in is a “packed-with-features” delay module based on tempo, incorporating EQ and tremolo sections with separate controls for each output channel. Instead of a single “length” control this plug-in implements two separate “delay” and “length” controls which allows you to create evenly sounding “ping-pong” echoes.
Sound Delay is an auxiliary multi-channel signal delaying plug-in for professional audio applications. You may specify delay time in both milliseconds and samples, with a high level of precision. This plug-in - being technical in its purpose - provides a basic signal delaying function only, without signal feedback or modulation capabilities.
Sound Delay also features internal mid/side encoding and decoding, and allows you to delay mid and side channels independently.
This plugin generates stereo bouncing echo’s, good for ’Trance’ vocals or wide reverb trails on pads.
A wrapper for Chris Kerry’s low CPU, high quality pitch shifter.
A simple ’rectangular’ delay network creates near-reflections
Big Blue Delay is a multi-delay VST effect. It has 4 stereo delay modules, which can optionally be synced to the host application tempo.
Odd Odo Delay is a dual-channel BPM syncable delay with resonant filter.
2WarpDelay pairs two warped-lattice IIR filters with a pair of delay lines and a bitmap which it scans to extract filter coefficients.
A stereo signal is fed through two delay lines followed by a warped IIR lattice filter. The lattice filter can be of any order from 1 to 80 and uses reflection coefficients extracted from an image. This output is fed through a saturation stage and a ducking / limiting stage before being fed back, again, into the delay lines. The lattice filter is warped, and by adjusting the warping parameter its frequency response can be easily adjusted.
Resonance controls the distance between spectral peaks and spectral valleys in the filter transfer function, and cutoff controls the cutoff of a first-order low pass filter that follows the lattice filter.
Klanglabs Glitch is a MIDI triggered random delay FX. Glitch sends a random delay time value on every MIDI note input so you basically grab a MIDI channel and sequence time changes. You can also specify the times by MIDI note number instead of a random value.
2 delays (up to 10 sec)with tempo sync, 2 lfo (sine) with tempo sync for the filter and the delay time, 2 multi mode filters (2p, Cut, Res, LP, HP, LP, BR).
