Elogoxa

Analog style exciter for mastering purposes, inspired on the BBE Maximizer models. Its warm sound and simplicity of using makes this exciter very suitable to add some subtle brightness in the high frequencies, and also make the lows more dense. Apart from the mastering stage, you’ll find that it can also make a good work on individual tracks.

The plug-in simply excites the harmonics of the input signal. It is also possible to invert the phase of each harmonic. This concept guarantees a very surgical control over the distortion produced.

An open source exciter. It features linkwitz-riley crossover filters of up to 8th order. Also it features a chebyshev waveshaper that produces a cosy, antialiased distortion, which is used to ‘refresh’ the high frequencies. The shaper has been created to adapt to other shapes easily in the future.

Firegain is a 3-band (soft-)clipper / shaper. It is similar to a “harmonic exciter”.

1. Divide the signal into three frequency bands using box-filters.
2. Applies soft clipping to each of the bands.
3. Recombine the signals to create a final signal.

It introduces a small (a few samples) delay depending on the lower frequency.
