GetaBlitch Jr. is a sequenced gate effect that is different from traditional “trance gates” in two significant ways: first, it uses MIDI to sequence the gate, rather than a built-in step sequencer; second, it gates the left and right channels of a stereo signal independently and potentially simultaneously.

moot is a flexible audio mute plugin with a number of additional features. The mute switch (Hit Me) can be assigned to a single midi keyboard key and act in 3 ways
- as a latch (one press mute, release stays muted, next press unmute, release stays unmuted)
- in default mode (hold down to mute, release to play audio)
- in invert mode (hold down to play audio, release to mute)
The minimum and maximum volume can be set so that as well as muting, moot can act as a switch between a high and low volume
In addition there is an audio gate to chop the audio and a smooth control to add a small attack/decay between changes
features
- specify any midi key as the trigger
- can act as a mute, unmute or latch
- can switch between lower and upper volume settings
- tempo sync gate with smoothing
- midi learn

A free stereo trancegate plugin.
Syncs to hostapplication or set bpm manually
Horizontal steps: 4, 8, 16 or 32
Vertical steps: 2, 4, 8, 16 or 32

Trance-Gate is a plugIn for the creation of gate effects. The opening and closing of the gate is triggered by incoming MIDI-notes - note-on events trigger the opening phase, note-off events trigger the closing phase. As opposed to gates with a built in step sequencer this has two advantages: first, it gives the user more flexibility in the rhythmic opening and closing because the user can take full advantage of all MIDI functions which the chosen sequencer software provides (different note-lengths for each step, changing rythms, etc.). And second: the plugIn is small and does not take much space on the monitor. …and it did not take much time to implement it :-).

cairo is a tempo synchronized gate effect. choose a gate speed, and modify the envelope to cut up your audio into different sized slices, with soft or smooth edges.

This programmable rhythm gate synchronizes to the host BPM, the effect is often used in ’Trance’ music.

My most recent gating plugin. Host-synced lfos can create crossrythms, randomised amplitude, modulate gating period, et c.

gator creates a random gating effect, triggering volume between 2 adjustable values by a tempo-sync’d probability-based step sequencer. An LFO can modulate the volume when triggered and trigger pulse length, attack and release can shape the sound
features
- tempo-sync step sequencer, with 2 to 32 steps over a sequence length of 2 to 32 beats
- can be programmed or random, by setting the probability of each step from 0-100%
- seeded randomisation for repeatable loops up to 100 beats long
- volume triggered between upper and lower cut-off values, in either direction
- tempo sync LFO, with 6 waveforms and settings from 1/16 beat to 96 beats
- adjustable pulse length, attack and decay for shaping the modulation
- random swing for step sequencer
- wet/dry mix control
- midi CC and midi learn
