m-Gain
Filed Under: VST Effects/Limiter / Maximizer | report broken link
m-Gain offers a unique *PURELY ADDITIVE* gain system, allowing amplification of a signal’s INPUT gain by up to 1200% plus an additional 1200% increase of all levels over 12KHz).
Unlike certain ’professional’ gain maximisers, m-Gain never attempts to attenuate a signal under any circumstances, ever. There is no limiting, waveshaping or compression involved, resulting in an extremely CPU efficient VST mastering effect.
Leveling Amp

Inspired by popular analogue limiters of the past, this Leveling Amplifier is ideal for mastering or controlling the dynamic range of a track, it’s response to peaks is very fast with a slow realease for minimum distortion even when driven hard.

GMax
Filed Under: VST Effects/Limiter / Maximizer | report broken link
GMax is a maximizing limiter. The most common usage is to boost the perceived level of a signal by increasing base amplitude while preventing clipping. It works by first increasing the level of the incoming audio by a given amount. Then, any audio that becomes too loud is “turned back down”, ensuring that the level never exceeds the “ceiling” level. While a maximizing limiter is often used to make an entire song seem “louder”, it may also be used in place of a compressor to help control individual tracks.

The BetabugsAudio edition of George Yohng’s W1 takes the same spectacular limiting engine and gives it a new interface.
The Classic Master Limiter VST plugin is specially designed to boost the overall level of your final mixes, but is also highly useable on very dynamic instruments. With just one control on the front panel operation is as simple as it gets; just turn the Threshold down and hear how your mixes gets louder and louder. Very high compression ratios can be obtained without changing the balance of the mix.
