manic is an 8 slot random sample player where you decide the samples, but manic decides when to play them. Samples are triggered according to their probability, on a tempo sync pattern. Also allows for randomising of volume, pitch, pan, delay, reverse and swing. You decide how much, but not when. You can loop the sequence, change sequence seed with midi keys and quantise the pitch randomising for a more melodic sequence. Works well for random glitchy percussion, instant melodic sequences of multisamples or total chaos

The plugin could be named “audio copy-paster” or “snippet looper”, but I choose to call it InstantSampler because it does what a simple ’normal’ sampler does (playing audio fragments by MIDI notes), but it takes its samples (instantly) from the audio input whenever you hit a specific MIDI note for the first time. Every consecutive time you hit the same MIDI-note, it plays back the recorded fragment (or shorter, depending on the note’s length).

LiveTweaker is a multi-functional instrument bringing together a 12-slot drum sampler, a drum synth and a monophonic synth in a single plug-in.
Conceived with live use in mind, the idea is to have 3 instruments on one single track for quick & easy tweaking using a MIDI controller. The second idea is to avoid sterile repetition of the same thing by including various random features. You can achieve subtle variations on a snare’s pitch, a cymbal’s decay, or simulate the osc pitch instability of an old analogue synth, but you can also turn your pattern into something totally different after each repetition. Midi-Musiker has released Monochrome SL1, a simple and easy to use 1-slot stereo sample player built with Outsim SynthMaker.
You can set the start and end points, reverse the sequence, change the sequence speed, adjust the pitch and add effects. Or just loop a sequence, it’s up to you
