ndc Plugs

A comprehensive modulation effect, offering 3 types of modulation of audio signals: amplitude modulation, ring modulation, and frequency modulation. There are three audio sources, all of which may be used as either the modulator signal, or the carrier signal (and in some cases, both simultaneously). Also includes a fairly comprehensive MIDI implementation.

Berrtill is a distortion unit modelled from circuit bent hardware. Might get some interesting effects out of it.

ndc Plugs

A simplistic distortion plugin, with two modes. The first mode is a modified threshold-type distortion (although the modification isn’t particularly noticeable, sound-wise). The second mode is called Sine Wave distortion, although it’s actually closer to frequency-modulation, as the audio input is used as the index to a sin() function. Works with Windows and Mac.”

Elogoxa

Vintage style saturation/bass expander unit, presented as VST effect. We think this plugin is specially good to add warmth and saturation to drums and basses, and with vocal tracks that need a little punch. It uses very little CPU, and includes 8 factory presets.

Elogoxa

Analog style exciter for mastering purposes, inspired on the BBE Maximizer models. Its warm sound and simplicity of using makes this exciter very suitable to add some subtle brightness in the high frequencies, and also make the lows more dense. Apart from the mastering stage, you’ll find that it can also make a good work on individual tracks.

Not directly related to music software, but have you ever tried the WayBack Machine? It’s at web.archive.org - and can serve up copies of entire websites which are out of service.  It has been very useful in fixing links to long lost VST’s.

Hi Everyone,

Lars from Magix.com writes to tell me that they are conducting a survey to determine the music-software habits of all of you computer-audio enthusiasts. After answering a few multiple choice questions, they enter you in a draw for a new Ipod, which seems like a pretty nice incentive. If you’d like to participate, go here:
