PSP PianoVerb is a completely free plug-in for any VST, MAS and DirectX compatible host. It reproduces special kind of reverberation originally provided by piano strings. It generates reverberation using twelve string operators with adjustable damping and decay time. Each of them is tuned to a particular note starting from A(55Hz) to a G#(103.8Hz). The PSP PianoVerb string system can be transposed in the range of +-24 semitones, tuned within a range of +-100 cents and be detuned as well. Transposing to lower octaves produces a bigger and less resonant sound similar to traditional reverbs, while in turn transposing to higher octaves produces a very bright harp-like effect.

This plug-in mimicks the tape delay in Logic Audio, and gives you separate control over the delay times on left and right channel. suitable for ping pong delays and drifting delays

Inspired by popular analogue limiters of the past, this Leveling Amplifier is ideal for mastering or controlling the dynamic range of a track, it’s response to peaks is very fast with a slow realease for minimum distortion even when driven hard.

KTGranulator is a free delay line granulator available as a VST effect plugin with custom editor and as a MacOSX Audio Unit. It was made as an exploration in building VST effect plugins and using the VSTGUI library and was inspired by the great DLGranulator effect in Ross Bencina’s AudioMulch.
It works like this: incoming (mono) sound is fed into a delay line from which small pieces of various durations and at different moments in the past are selected. Each of these pieces is then amplified, transposed and enveloped to form a “grain”. Each grain is also randomly panned and the whole mix is sent out to a stereo output stream. Feedback of the grain output back into the delay line is also provided, and the delay line can also be frozen so that the grains are only taken from what is currently stored in the delay line.

Sounds of Nature VST Pack -
Oscine Tract:
Oscine Tract VST models the songbird vocal tract, also known as the syrinx.
Rain:
Rain is a low CPU emulation using subtractive synthesis.
Synsect:
Synsect uses a single sample impulse clock routed through a series of resonant filters to emulate the high frequencies produced by small insect bodies.
Thunder:
Thunder uses a combination of filtered delay networks and subtractive synthesis to emulate the transmission of sound between earth and sky.
Wind:
Several groups of modulators are applied to a bank of bandpass filters for this emulation.

A waveguide Bo(wed str)ing using a Friedlander-Keller scattering junction.

Two separately filtered and pitch-enveloped noise, sine or sample oscillators.

A VST emulation of the popular software Hammerhead.

A crazy instrument which uses spherical harmonics to modulate the vertices of a sphere. These vertices are then used to generate waveforms for a simplistic additive synthesis engine. Uses opengl to display the modulated spheres (one for every voice).

basic64 is inspired by the 8 bit sounds of the classic Commodore 64.
It’s not a straight emulation, but is based around the SID chip with some extras for that 8-bit retro game sound, lofi gritty noises or just plain oddness

manic is an 8 slot random sample player where you decide the samples, but manic decides when to play them. Samples are triggered according to their probability, on a tempo sync pattern. Also allows for randomising of volume, pitch, pan, delay, reverse and swing. You decide how much, but not when. You can loop the sequence, change sequence seed with midi keys and quantise the pitch randomising for a more melodic sequence. Works well for random glitchy percussion, instant melodic sequences of multisamples or total chaos

38911 Bytes is a synthesizer based on Commodore 64 software but it can do a lot more.
Features:
* 1 oscillator synth with 4 waveforms (saw, triangle, pulse and pitch noise). Also PulseWidth “noise cutoff” and “noise level” and Octaves from -3 to 4.
* 3 BPM sequencers with 10 rates, 2 to 16 steps and end/loop modes.
o Sequencer 1 is for notes and octaves. Notes from C to B and octaves -3 to 4.
o Sequencer 2 is for waveforms Saw, Triangle, Pitched Noise, RM saw, RM triangle, RM pulse.
o Sequencer 3 is for octaves from -3 to 4.
* The filter, pitch and PW modulation envelopes have stages from 1 to 8, also 13 curves, a Sustain point from 1 to 7 or even off. The envelopes can also be turned off to save some CPU when not required.
* 3 different filters - low-pass, band-pass and hi-pass. You can activate more than one filter type like on a real c64 and also turn the filters off.
* 2 LFOs with 19 different waveforms with free speed or 14 BPM speeds. The LFOs have only 3 destinations - cutoff, pitch and for PWM.
* A Ring modulation with a bitcrusher notes from c to b and octaves from -4 to 3.
* A volume envelope and a full bank of 128 presets.

The featureset of this phase distortion synthesizer is similar to the Casio CZ101, including the noise source.

hypercyclic is an LFO-driven MIDI arpeggiator, gate effect and step sequencer for mangling MIDI input chords.
Two tempo-synced LFOs can be used to modulate various parameters to create interesting rhythmic effects and chord variations. A unique feature is the possiblity to modulate the sequencer step size itself, which is useful for creating glitchy stuttering effects.
The sweetspot for hypercyclic is the narrow border between chaos and regularity. Or, in other words, how to induce a certain pleasant randomness, yet forcing everything to align again on the bar or beat boundaries.
The product is further complemented by a groove function for playing slightly off the beat. The groove parameters can also be modulated over time by the LFOs, adding to the rhythmic variation.

The mda DX-10 VSTi is a freeware FM synth that recreates the classic FM sound but with a much simpler and more intuitive interface than any DX synth, or any of their software imitations.
By using a harmonically rich modulating oscillator (with extra control in
the new version) only only one carrier and modulator produce a wide range of FM sounds typical of the later series of Yamaha DX synths such the DX-11 and TX-81Z.

This synth is temposynced and designed for use in IDM, electro, trance and experimental styles.
Press the key, turn the modwheel. Be careful with your speaker. You must have some compressor in the chain

dmiflute is a physical modelled flute synthesizer. It features a vibrato LFO and a multimode resonant filter. It’s not particularily flutey but makes some pretty strange and interesting sounds anyway.

SG-1 gathers some features which are usually isolated in other sonogram tools.
It works in real-time. It continues analyzing in the background, and only stops when you freeze it. Both in frozen or running mode, every time you click or drag within the sonogram area, frequency and amplitude rulers highlight the values corresponding to that point.
A little LED-like screen shows you in detail analysis information and parameter modifications, or the transport position when idle.
The unusual thing: it comes with six scientific color palettes (twelve considering they can be inverted, by clicking the palette twice), which can be switched on the fly with a single click. Each of them can highlight different dynamic ranges, from high power kickdrum beats, to little spikes coming out from the noise floor.
Every palette can be shifted by simply dragging the dB ruler, to better contrast the right amplitude ranges.

Fre(a)koscope is an FFT-based real-time spectrum analyzer featuring: lin/log/semitones/third-octave/Bark scales
- window size selection
- frequency zooming
- freeze
- peak hold
- cursor information (amplitude+frequency)

The simple front panel defies the complexity that is under the hood, there is a large bank of 10 oscillators that are mathamatically detuned by non linear amounts to sound more natural, they are then mixed in stereo through dual low pass filters, a host sinchronized ping-pong echo, and a trance gate with nine selectable rhythms, the result is a very powerful analog sound, with fast and easy controls.

KTDrumTrigger is a VST plugin with custom editor that triggers MIDI notes based on the sound level of the incoming audio stream in different frequency bands. It allows you to “detect” occurrences of percussive sounds in an audio stream and send out a MIDI event whenever that happens.
It works like this: incoming (mono) audio is split up into different frequency bands using three tweakable filters. The signal in each of these bands is sent through an envelope follower. When the envelope reaches a specified threshold level, a MIDI note on message is generated. The trigger module has some built-in hysteresis and minimum inter onset time settings to avoid fast successive triggers due to noise on the envelope curves. Visual feedback of the filter and trigger settings is available….

Besides being a CPU hog this plug-in goes further than most real tape delay machines. It’s capable of stereo delays, ping pong delays, multitap delays and complex delay textures.

Impulsive is a pink noise generator sent through a ten-band filter bank to a simple envelope gate. Playing any MIDI note will generate the burst, which can be, for example, saved to a .WAV file and loaded into the SIR reverb unit.
Effects including thickening, mild
chorus, frequency-dependent, panning, echos and reverb can be created this way.

Auto Crossfade is a crossfade effect to be used in modular environments such as EnergyXT. The plugin is used to fade from one input to the other simply by clicking either the up or down button without the need to automate anything. Auto Crossfade can also be used as a volume fade effect by leaving one of the inputs empty.

This original chorus effect offers a high quality modulation engine, and many other original features: one of these is the practical user interface, which allows the user to obtain thousands of different sound configurations.
The user can choose the number of voices to be generated by the modulation engine. Each wet voice is represented in the XY screen in relation to the currently selected couple of parameters.
There are four sets of automatizable parameters:
-Pan and Volume
-Delay and Shape
-Depth and Rate
-Phase Control

This plug-in is a “packed-with-features” delay module based on tempo, incorporating EQ and tremolo sections with separate controls for each output channel. Instead of a single “length” control this plug-in implements two separate “delay” and “length” controls which allows you to create evenly sounding “ping-pong” echoes.

This plug-in can be used to add stereo width to audio tracks. This plug-in is most effective on mono pad sounds and alike. This effect works with mono stream generating stereo stream. It also works with stereo streams, however both channels get processed independently of each other like they are mono streams and then two resulting stereo streams get mixed together to produce one stereo stream.

SPAN is a real-time FFT spectrum analyzer plug-in. For the most part it was derived from GlissEQ and CurveEQ professional equalizers and it reproduces their spectrum analysis functionality.

Sound Delay is an auxiliary multi-channel signal delaying plug-in for professional audio applications. You may specify delay time in both milliseconds and samples, with a high level of precision. This plug-in - being technical in its purpose - provides a basic signal delaying function only, without signal feedback or modulation capabilities.
Sound Delay also features internal mid/side encoding and decoding, and allows you to delay mid and side channels independently.

This is a reverb unit plug-in suitable mainly for instruments and sounds which do not have sharp percussive elements to them, otherwise this reverb sounds too edgy. This reverb is great at creating additional ambience.

MSED is a mid/side encoder/decoder plug-in which encodes (splits) the incoming stereo signal into two components: mid/side or, alternatively, mono/stereo pair, and vice versa: decodes mid/side signal pair into stereo signal. MSED is also able to work in the in-line mode with the ability to adjust mid and side channels’ gain without the need of inserting two MSED plug-ins in sequence.

Latency Delay is an auxiliary latency compensation plug-in which allows you to compensate latency introduced by modular real-time VST plug-ins and instruments which introduce latency but do not try to report it to the host. Latency Delay introduces 10000 samples latency itself and delays the audio signal by [10000 minus specified sample value] samples. Please note that host audio application should support latency compensation. This plug-in is only a helper and should be used together with other plug-ins.

“Fast and easy” 7-band digital graphic equalizer. It uses FIR filtering delivering a very nicely-sounding linear-phase equalization. EssEQ uses 128 point filter kernel. This plug-in is very good at quick frequency balance adjustments.

Flang-3R is a free 6 band stereo flanger effect, You have control over the modulation with the standard osc shapes and Sample and Hold also. Theres feedback which brings out the sound more and dampening and mix if you want just a slight effect and shift to adjust the tone. Theres 3 different modes for the speed controls and you can sync the modulation, use linked control amounts or adjust the left and right separately.

Sidechain Gate is a simple sidechain gate with two stereo inputs (the second is for the key input) so it requires a VST host with flexible routing possibilities

A simple metronome, which uses claves, hand claps, or cowbell to keep time.

WISINE - Woodwind/Brass Model - v 1.0

Cheapo tone is a recreation of the famous calculator synth, though this one doesn’t calculate.
All the sounds are synthesized, and there is absolutely no sample inside.
Of course, not only can you use the factory presets, but you can also tweak them, create your owns fro scratch and saving your own presets, as you have full control over the the different parameters.
Those parameters are limited to what was needed to emulate the original sounds. No more, no less.
Their are two distinct synthesizers: Drums and Tone.
The drum sounds are mapped to channel 10, and the synth to channel 1.
The ADSR section and other knobs on the front pannel work only in ADSR mode, as the other modes (piano, fantasy, violin, flute and guitar are locked presets)

Monkey Orchestra is a synth based on a piano string structure model.
So it has 88 independant keys. 10 lowest trigger 1 string, 18 next trigger 2 strings, 60 highest trigger 3 strings, wich makes a lot of strings.
You can tune each 226 strings individually.
The strings are fed by (very) short samples.
Interface gives you control over several parameters.
Most of the controls can be triggered by Lfos or peak follower.

Harmoniac is a physical model reed, wich can give harmonica sounds.

Gate fish doesn’t produce any sound.
It detects attacks and volume (if in envelope mode) and retriggers it to midi cc.
It’s a good alternative for Reason style routing.
1 - Put it as an insert effect on any audio out.
2 - Put it as a midi input of a midi track and put the target synth or effect as output of this track .
3 - On GateFish, choose the midi cc that that correspond to the parameter you want to be controled.
It works great on a rythmic output.

Mutine is 2 envelope followers and 2 lfo’s, that triggers volume or cutoff
Envelope followers can be set to follow left channel, right channel or both.
The effect can also be set to apply on left, right or both channels.
That way, you can use Mutine on a group channel, with for instance, a drum on left that triggers envelope follower, and a pad on right, that will be chopped by drum pattern.
Mutine also responds to midi notes

This VSTi instrument is based on individual samples of the lo-fi, 8-bit drum sounds from the infamous Casio SK-1 keyboard.

It has a simple interface with only ADSR controls. It is velocity sensitive. Each note is individually sampled.
It runs on MIDI notes 60-84 (C5 to C7) to simulate the limited range of a real toy piano. It is wonky and slightly out of tune.

Preparation P is a VSTi collection of 61 high quality prepared piano samples. All of these samples were recorded by Tom Gersic on a baby-grand piano, and include a variety of strummed strings, plucked strings, and many other sounds of various objects lodged in the strings. Each sample can be tuned individually, and you can also adjust the attack, decay, sustain, and release characteristics of the sound by using the envelope controls.

This softsynth is modelled around 31 carefully sampled and mastered Rhodes Piano samples.

yohng.comA small and versatile bass-line module. The bass module is a morph between sample playback and a synthesizer. Original string excitation is sampled, and then sound is modeled.Playing chords will add extra fat rumble, like when playing a real bass guitar.Bass guitar range was artifically extended up and down, so that higher notes and parts can be played as well.

Note, this software is a plugin. You will need an application that supports VSTi plugins to run this software.
This is a small and versatile piano module with unique sound.
This piano module is neither a sample player, nor synthesized. It’s a hybrid technology, that combines both methods. This resulted in a great module size reduction and light CPU usage.
