VirtMus (virtual music) is a free application that allows the user to display sheet music and turn pages without removing the hands (or feet) from the instrument the music is performed on. This feature is very useful during concerts and practice sessions as it allows the musician to focus on performing the music without interruption. The software also allows the users to store and organize their entire sheet music collection on a laptop, making it fully portable and available at a click of a button. See the ScreenShots if you want to see how it looks, or have a look at the DesignPrinciples to see some of the distinguishing features.
Music stands are usually able to accomodate at most a single book or 2-3 pages of loose leaf music at once. When performing a longer piece of music, the musician must often move one of the hands away from the instrument to turn the pages. This interupts the performance and breaks the flow of music especially when the page turn occurs during a musically demanding passage.
This software allows the user to create “songs” out of sheet music images obtained from a scanner, digital camera, or pdf, and “PlayLists” out of the “songs”. During a performance, the user can simply press a mouse button to move to the next / previous page or press various keyboard keys to advance the music.
USB foot switches are available which emulate mouse button presses thus freeing the hands to play the instrument. Even without a FootSwitch, using a laptop display avoids the problem of books that don’t stay open, or loose leaf pages that fly off the music stand when the wind (or HVAC unit) blows.

ProjectX1 is a hybrid bass synth utilizing subtractive,fm,phase distortion and unison synthesis. It’s essentially a monophonic
synth but has a pseudo stereo mode also and features 2 filters,2 adsr’s,mod envelope generator,2 modulation matrix’s with 24
possible destinations each and the source signals can also be inverted.
There’s two effects types which are
widely used in music production today; a tube amp simulator which allows you to control gain, clip, speed, cap, bias, shape and mix and also a bit crusher with selectable modes of operation. A unison oscillator has been added but the synth does’nt operate in unison mode. Peak follow has been added and can grunge up the sound a bit more. Most of the knobs/sliders can be controlled via midi and there’s also dual waveshapers or assymetrical waveshaping for want of a better term.

full automation, 8 programs & 24 user programs, and peak meters. This vst plugin for PC was designed to take ‘monophonic’ audio input and transform it into something barely recognizable if you want. It also incorporates a 4 pole low pass filter (moog filter) and an LFO to expand on the possibility’s available.

A single-stream quasi-synchronous granulator which also features an analog filter to further manipulate the sound with a smooth lowpass, phatpass(with some big bottom end) and highpass formant hybrid settings. The sonix interface is very easy on the eyes and the gui gives sonix the look of hardware rather than software. All the main controls can be automated of course so you get ‘full control’over your audio grains, and metering is courtesy of a standard rms sensing VU which monitors the mono input level only.
